A few photos

I just came back from a little promenade on the quays. I sat on a bench, and was absorbed in contemplation. It was so beautiful! I had taken my book to work a little, but I couldn't take my eyes away of this grandiose sight. I sat for an hour I think, and I went back to my flat to take my camera, and went to take some photos that I share with you. Each morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is to go to the window, and look at the lake. Enjoy the pictures!

^ This is the view from the school I frequented between the age of 11 and 16. Each morning during winter time I was standing at this place to see the sun rise over the mountains. How do you want children to concentrate when you have such a sight?

^ This is from the pier, on the left (where the trees are) you have the quays where I'm used to run, and on the right the Alps.

Beautiful isn't it? Do you understand why I miss this view when I'm away? :) I could stay there for hours! On sunday, when nobody is driving, I can even hear the seagulls yelling from my window. On summer I always have breakfast on my small terrace, and on the evenings, my friends always call me to see if there is a place for them to eat, because they love the sight (as well as the food and the chef I hope!). There is always of course, and that's moments I love, when you share good food, good wine, with good friends in such a nice place, nothing else is important anymore.

^ That's how it looks in summer, with a steamship built in 1923, and it's more or less the view I have from my flat.

And for the end, that's the view from the top of my building, where I stand when it's a nice sunset.

Darling Charlie, its views like that seep into your unconscious and that make you who you are and what you become...you are lucky because you grew up in a very beautiful place and its natural that you should be annoyed and confused when things (Erik)don't turn out simple and beautiful like the view you have from your window..obviously i'm over simplifying, but you catch what i'm getting at, people are complicated and mysterious, (some more than others) so breathe deep the good Lake air, and remember how lucky you are to live in such a magnificent place ( I come from there too, so I know how you can feel)

Love & kisses from Xico

It's so beautiful. I can't say I can enjoy a sight as wonderful where I'm at. One day, perhaps.
