Scandinavia

I'm leaving tomorrow for Copenhagen! three nights in Danemark, and then Sweden for a week. I'm looking forward! I have to prepare my stay in Copenhagen tonight, I don't know what there is to see (but I know that the little mermaid has flown to Japan). I guess that I will have to ask my way to blond guys during a few days ;)

See you in August!

To Stan

To my best friend who is in Rio di Janeiro :)

So many girls... irk... ;)

Above the clouds

Hi guys!

I'm back from France, where I had the best weekend ever! I left from home on Thursday in a Cessna 170 from 1948. I flew untill a small airfield not far from Dijon. There was an oldtimers meeting there, and all my friends from the airport were attending the event. The aim was to meet there with the biggest number of aircraft possible, and have a nice time while flying as many hours as possible.

"My" little Cessna. She's not a fighter jet, but she's a good plane. You can notice, comparing with the plane behind her, the difference of maintenance between french and swiss aircraft :)

It was awesome. First of all, there was a lot of nice people there, a lot of them were experienced pilot with so many incredible stories to tell (like a corporate jet pilot whose job for a while was to bring a pedigree dog from Paris to Berlin in a 50 million $ jet, so that he could procreate with another expensive dog... crazy dog owners!). There was also a bunch of young guys, and I took many of them to fly with me. It is how I discovered aviation, and I want to make other people discover this pleasure (especially if they are guys, around 20, and cute ;) There was also 35 planes, from Switzerland and from France, a lot of wonderful material, the oldest one was from 1934.

Morane-Saulnier MS 317 from 1937, the best looking aircraft of the meeting, and a marvel to fly

During all our stay, we had incredible food. France is France :) Three courses meal two times a day, and french croissants for breakfast, so cool when you're in the middle of nowhere! Some wine producers also offered the drinks, and we tasted some very good bottles.

Chill out after a long day, it's time to serve the wine

I had some wonderful experiences in flight. The most exciting was to drop a guy from my plane. A friend of mine came with a friend of him, and he said he wanted to jump with a parachute, and that he had heard that it was possible to remove one door. I said yes, and asked an old pilot how to drop someone. It's totally illegal to do it without having an appropriate training, but whatever, we all wanted to do it. Five minutes explanations on a table corner, and we were starting the engine. The guy jumped from 3500 feet above the ground. It was a bit frightening to see him jump!

The weather was not perfect during two days, with a lot of clouds, but I could climb on top twice, and it is certainly what I prefer! It's like to be on an airliner, but with the liberty. I love to fly just on top of the clouds, with the wheels in the vapor, and the cockpit on the surface, wow, it's so beautiful! I took a 14 yo guy with me, and it was the first time that he was flying, and he was so amazed, it was such a pleasure to share that kind of moments! I'm sure that he's now begging his parents to let him take flying lessons ;)

This was just before diving in the canyon for a very low altitude flight. With cliffs all around, you have better to know your way out, there is no place for a mistake! So much fun though!

I'm still above the clouds, these four days were so wonderful that I haven't realised yet that it is the end untill next year.

See you!

PS: Some shots are two years old, because, for obvious reasons, I had no time to take pictures by myself :)

Promenade in Bourgogne

So much to do, so little time, this is my holiday :) I'm flying to France on Thursday with "my" Cessna from 1948. I will attend an oldtimer meeting in a place about 1 hour from here. It's in the middle of nowhere, and I'll be alone on board, I hope that I will manage to find the airfield. It's a grass runway, wich makes it hard to see from the sky among other fields. I haven't been abroad with a little plane for 2 years, and I don't remember how it works for all the administrative things... :S it's not complicated, but there is a lot to do and you have to do it right or you'll get into trouble rather quickly. I'll call the custom office in Paris tonight, and I've got to prepare my complete flightplan for tommorow. I went to buy the maps today.

I'm going to work tommorow, but I hope that I will be able to escape quickly, for I have to pack for my little trip. I'll be sleeping in a tent, and I can't find it in my mess. I went to seek upstairs in the attic, amongst so many other things and all I could find was my assault riffle, wich reminded me that I forgot to go for the mandatory shooting (you have to go once a year in Switzerland, and by the way, you also MUST have an assault riffle with ammunition at home... how stupid is that? Even in the USA you don't have to!) I hope that I wont get a fine for that :/

Anyways, have a nice weekend, and see you! I'll post some pictures when I'll be back!

She kissed a girl

We were at the beach with the sister yesterday, talking about random stuff. Out of the blue, she "Oh my god, last night was so weird! I was with my best friend (a girl) and we were a bit pissed, and suddenly she said that when we were younger, she was in love with me, and she took my head and kissed me right in front of all our friends... I was so embarassed, I didn't know what to do!" It's a mess now because she has a boyfriend, and everyone was talking about that event, and my sister doesn't know what to do. I don't understand this girl, for she has the cutest boyfriend ever. If only I could exchange my sister against her boyfriend... :P

I'm so horny right now... I don't know if it's the summer of what, but I look around and only see cute guys everywhere, and I get crazy. I need someone, if I don't find a guy next week, I will jump on anyone!

On another topic, I may have saved a life yesterday. I was in the city center, and there was a young guy that was sleeping on the bench at the bus station, with opened eyes. Nobody was paying attention, but I thought that it was a bit strange and better to check if he was ok. He was obviously not, he was absent minded and breathing in a strange way. He could whisper me that he had swallowed an ecstazy... I called the emergencies, and he was brought to the hospital. He was 14 years old, and it was 7 pm... nice way to start a saturday evening :/

News from the weekend

First of all, the date: it didn't go as I wanted. We had a nice time, good talk, and shared a good meal. Everything went well until I asked where he was living in the city. When he told me he was living in a very posh neighbourhood, I thought something was strange, considering he's still a student. As a matter of fact, he's now living with his boyfriend who is... a lawyer :/ After that the conversation went well quiet as you can imagine...

Friday, after work, I took the train to the mountains, where Maria (my best friend) invited some friends for her birthday. Her friends are awesome, we laughed so much during that night! It's so cool to be with nice people under the stars, with a good bottle of wine, I love that :) I also met her boyfriend for the first time, and he seems to be a very nice guy.

I came back the day after, put the flat into order and worked out a little bit. I'm not sure that you would like to see the result... or would you? :P (sorry for the scratches on the mirror)

After that I invited the crazy girl to eat at home, for she was leaving the day after to Turkey. We had a few drinks, a few more, and when I said that it was time to go to sleep, she said she wanted us to have a bath together instead. Hum... well I explained her I wouldn't, and she said ok, let's go to sleep then. She jumped on me again, and I thought it was time to be honest. I told her quite directly, like "listen, we will never be together, because I'm gay" and she went mad, told me that she hated me etc... but she finally calmed down. She said that she was sorry "you know, since the first time we met, I have always thought that you were the one, that you would save my soul, that you were the only one that could understand me and be honest with me... I thought we would be so happy together... there are so many things between us. You have to understand me, I'm just falling appart right now." I didn't know what to say, so we just huged each other and fell asleep short after. I hope that we will still remain as good friends as we have been untill now. She'll probably need some time to get over it though...

Sooo... apart from that, nothing really special happened. I had some time to cook today, and made a nice meal. Living by myself, I miss having someone to share my meal with, there is less fun when you're not cooking for someone.

Garlic meatballs, tomatoes from the oven, with coriander and italian spices, and marinated green peppers from the neighbours. Homemade sweedish cookies for the dessert, and on the left the limes are ready to be squeezed for a capirinha (Getz/Gilberto ready in the cd player). Who would join? ;) I think that I should do some advertisement in front of my home :)

No flight but a date

I wanted to fly around today, and went to the airport with a friend, but it was and still is quite stormy here. I love the thundertorms, and I think that we'll have a nice one a bit later. We let the aircraft in the hangar and had a drink. We talked to a representant of Beechcraft, a business aircraft seller who was kind enough to let us enter the demo-planes. We took a lot of pics with us, like coming out of the plane as if we were coming back from holliday. Some people where laughing at us for doing so, but now I have the best facebook picture ever ;) No flight for Charlie today though.

I have kind of a date with a guy tonight. I met him some time ago, and gave him my number, and we are going to eat together in a few hours. I don't know him very well, but from what I know he's very cultivated, loves jazz, and is also quite good looking. He had a boyfriend when I met him, I hope that things have changed :)
