I shouldn't spend time on the internet because I have some work to do, but I can't resist to tell you how it was and to post some photos :)
We took the train tuesday on the morning. Fortunately everything worked, we were on time, and we managed to catch all our trains. As soon as we arrived in Geneva, my sister knew we were heading to France, but she thought that we would take a boat to North Africa, Corsica or wathever. We stopped at Lyon, Marseille, Toulon, and then took a bus untill a small town called St-Clair on the Côte-d'Azur. President Sarkozy was staying only a few kilometers from there, and the police was everywhere, we had never seen so many policemen of our lives!
We arrived at the hotel, and my sister didn't notice the name at first, when the lady said "welcome to the hotel california" she turned with a big smile. She liked the idea very much I think. We had a room on top of the building, and the view was awesome! It was really a cool place to stay at.
Part of the view from our hotel room.
There was not much to do there, and all we did was drink, eat, sleep. Real vacation :) We stayed for a long time on the beach, but didn't bathe because the sea was still too cold. Thats where my sunglasses were the most useful. Unfortunately, I forgot to put suncream, and that's why I now look like a cooked crab... I'm almost blond, and have a very clear skin, let me 10 min under the sun and I'm as red as a tomato :/
There are certainly many reasons not to like the Frenchies, but you can say whatever you want, most of them are damn cute! And what I like in the south is that everyone is so much more easy-going and informal. It was not a single time that we ate or had a drink without someone chatting with us. It's really pleasant. And my sister was a bait for the cute guys, that wasn't unpleasant either :P
We also had good food, not everytime, we had some awful suprises, but some restaurants were cooking really good french food, especially fresh fish from the market, which I like very much. And when you eat it in front of the sea with a good glass of wine it's even better!
Ok, let's look at some pictures:
St-clair village and the bay of Saint-Tropez in the background. Look at the color of the water! I love that :)
The coastal path leading to "la plage de la Fosette"
My favourite spot, a small paradise!
The traditional apéro on the beach. I always have a Pastis in France, it's an anised alcool mixed with a drop of water and ice cubes, delicious! I've always liked the taste, and the first time I got drunk was with this alcool. I was 5 years old, and my father left me alone at a table in a restaurant with his glass of pastis, and I finished it while he was at the toilets... Bad Charlie! :D I guess we have the drunkard gene in the family...
You don't need much imagination to put a missing letter at the right place. I had no marker with me, too bad :P
Oh my god, I want a maserati!! I love italian cars!

Wow, such wonderful photos!! It's pretty gross outside where I live right now (April isn't the prettiest time of year here), so that place looks almost unreal in comparison.
And was that a pic of you with your pervy glasses? ;-) Did they serve you well?
Hehe, it's me, but I took two pairs. These are the normal ones ;) Yep, it was a lot of guys shirtless on the beach :P
Your mention of Pastis reminds me of the story many years ago that there were too many accidents on French highways involving intoxicated truck drivers. So the government issued a strict decree to prevent drunk : when having a meal during a trip, a truck driver was permitted to have one — and only one — apéritif, one — and only one — glass of wine to accompany the meal, and one, — and only one — digestif to follow it.
Those are beautiful pictures, and it sounds like a very good time.
And did they mention the volume one - and only one - glass could contain? :P Well, anyway, I'm not a truck driver, I only fly planes, so I can drink as much as I want!
Very cool Charlie! And a pic of yourself!? So brave. Yes, the glasses are definitely pervvy. :P
Ooo, anise. One of my favorite drinks is chilled ouzo. Yum.
