The jazz club where I'm used to spend the weekends reopened last week after the summer break. I went with some friends to listen to a concert, and it was awesome. They had never heard jazz before! what a shame! They enjoyed it, ant I hope that some of them are gonna come with me next time.
I'm going again tonight with Sarah, and a collegue from work. It turned out that he's a jazz fan too, and a collects old jazz vinyls. I guess his house is full of them, and that there is always a piece of Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck or whoever else on the record deck.
Just for the plesure of the ears, a masterpiece of my favourite pianist, Erroll Garner:

Cool! I've never been to a jazz club. While jazz piano isn't my favorite, I can appreciate it from time to time. :-)
I loved jazz even as a kid. At the fairs there was always some jazz band, especially in the evenings, and my parents would take me too it and I'd fall asleep listening to it. I guess it was more of a smooth kind of jazz, but I still love it.
